In this episode, Madison and Matthew continue their ongoing conversation on the Enneagram. In this second episode, the conversation becomes even more nuanced, discussing the differences of each type, fixation and motivation of the subtypes, mistyping ourselves, how important it is to be doing this work with mentors and community and so much more depth into diversity, the Enneagram process, understanding the ego and freedom, along with so much more!

In this episode, we talk about:
Why we mistype, common mistypes and subtypes
The difference between the head, heart and gut (moving away, moving with, moving against)
The fractal nature of the Enneagram and understanding Enneagram as a process
Why we need to be with mentors who are more experienced and competent than us
Why your teachers must not fear you, nor need anything from you
A real breakdown of “the work” we do to liberate ourselves - Non-judgment, Non-interference, grounding in physical sensation, ruthless honesty
Why natural selection does not have concern for the truth, but spiritual liberation requires it
Why diversity of viewpoints is necessary for the highest potential of the world and why each “type” is necessary as a fractal of the universe
The 3 forces: affirming, denying and reconciling
Movements of integration (which cause energy expense/work), as opposed to business as usual (the most repetitive, unconscious and efficient way).
The gifts and flourishing of each type and why we start with negative emotions, not virtues
Why spirituality has to include reality, and how to be intimate with what is real
Self knowledge is more than knowing your fixation
Intuition as the vehicle all knowledge resides in, including false knowledge
