Episode 21: Releasing Shame & Finding Healing using the Body with Tami Sasson
“ The voice of shame is oppressive and it is designed to keep us small.”
-Tami Sasson, The Everything Belongs Podcast
Today on the Everything Belongs Podcast, Madison is in conversation with Tami Sasson. Tami is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Embodiment Coach who seeks to empower women to heal in a paradigm of remembering. Remembering truth, worth, and wholeness before systems, trauma, and manipulation got to them. Tami's career started as a therapist who supported immigrant and refugee children in healing from trauma, using only somatic approaches and no language. Tami dreams of and works towards a world where humanity is first. Where all humans feel seen, valued, safe and held. Where division no longer exists and the disease of loneliness ends. Tami sees all healing as collective liberation. She is also a writer and speaker who loves to address all things shadow, healing, life, pleasure, embodiment, humanity and social justice. In this episode, Madison and Tami speak on embodiment as the "feeling" side of healing, which is very different then doing the mental side of healing and how it holds so much capacity for us to create change, truth-living and stability.
